自分の力を過信してはいけませんよ。「能ある鷹は爪を隠す」って言うでしょう。
そもそも、能力のある人は自分を過信したりしないですし、自らを「俺は一流だ！」なんて言ったりしないんです。自分を立派な人間だと過信してしまう時点で、一流とは言えないんです。
キャストの仕事は、常に向上心が求められます。高い技術はもちろんですが、それ以上にコミュニケーション能力も大切ですし、その力を維持しなければならない。だから、自分を一流だと言っている暇なんてないんですよ。
自分を立派な人間、立派なキャストだと思わず、謙虚な気持ちで向上したいと思いますし、他のキャストにもそのように期待します。
Don’t overestimate your skills. A skilled hawk conceals its talon.
First of all, those who have skills don’t think they are great. They don’t say they are the best. If they do, that means they are not.
Therapists are required to improve their skills all the time. It goes without saying that they need to have better communication skills. Not only they need to improve them but also they need to maintain that level. So they don’t have time to think they are great.
Don’t ever think you are doing great nor you are satisfied with you right now. I would like to be modest enough to keep going and I expect the same for others, too.
