経験に勝るものはないと思っています。もちろん、学歴だったり職歴だったり、その人の努力の結晶は尊重されるべきものです。しかし、学校で何を学んだのか、職場で何を経験したのか、そこから何を得て、自分のプライベートや仕事にどう生かしていくのか、それも大切だと思うんです。そして、その際に重要なものが経験なのではないでしょうか。
そもそも人間は、成功もしますが失敗もするでしょう。何もかもがうまくいく、なんて状態が永遠に続くことはあり得ません。生きている限り、どこかで失敗しますし、挫折もするんです。しかし、そのようなネガティブな経験を経て、「じゃあ次はこうしよう」「次はこのやり方を試してみよう」と前向きに考えたり、挫折を乗り越える経験をしてより強くなったりと、人間は成長していくのだと思います。
むしろ、成功経験しかなければ、挫折した時に立ち上がれなくなるリスクもあります。失敗したことがなければ、いざ失敗した時にそれがやたら大きな経験となってしまい、立ち上がれなくなってしまう人も実際にいるんです。でも、普段から失敗した経験や挫折した経験があれば、ある程度のネガティブな経験は簡単に乗り越えられるようになります。もちろん、成功体験を積み重ねることで自信も身に付きますから、人間には両方の経験が必要だと言えるでしょう。
だから、いろいろ経験することには価値があると思うんです。たとえ成功しても、失敗しても、それは自分の糧になります。その糧をどう生かしていくか、それが大切なのではないでしょうか。
I believe the experience matters a lot. Of course, people’s effort for education or jobs is something to be respected and I totally understand that, but still, what they have learned, what they have experienced and how they will reflect it to their future is as important as it is.
Nobody can keep succeeding in their lives. Everybody has failed at some point and sometimes this experience might damage their situations. But still, negative experience motivates people to try something differerent next time or move on from the disappointments. People need their experience to be stronger.
If they don’t have failed experience, they might have difficulty getting over once something happens. If you keep succeeding or you never failed, your failed expereince might be a bigger issue more than necessary and you might be devastated for a lot time. It could ruin your mental situation as well. Of course, everybody needs succeeding experience as well to have confidence in them. People need both negative and positive experience to have better lives.
That’s why, it is important to experience a lot of things. Whether you succeed or fail, it’s still okay. Trying something new or something different matters a lot and let’s reflect it in the future.
