自由とは、責任の上に成り立つものです。例えば、義務教育が終わり、高校に行き、成人し、そのような過程の中で自由の重みを実感してきた人もいるのではないでしょうか。人間はただ、自由を手にすることができるわけではありません。それに伴って様々な責任を背負うことになりますよね。
宴では、僕はキャストたちに好きに活動してもらっています。僕自身は、キャストの活動にほとんど口を出すことがありません。思いついたことは、まずやってみたら良いと思っています。うまくいかなかったら、改善点を考えてまた試したら良いんです。
しかし、このような自由も責任の上に成り立ちます。当店にはノルマはありませんが、だからといって、何もしなくても良いわけではありません。
僕がキャストに1番求めていることは、売れることです。宴は小さな店ですから、とにかく自分で自分をアピールしていなければ、女性に知ってもらうことはできません。そのためには、効果的にSNSを使っていく必要があります。自己満足のためではなく、集客のためにSNSを使ってほしいと思っています。
僕や周りのキャストからアドバイスが行くこともあります。そんなときには、ぜひそれを生かして欲しい。宴はキャスト同士のプライベートのやりとりを禁止していますが、でも、キャストたちにはお互いを尊重してほしいと思っていますし、「1人はみんなのためにみんなは1人のために」活動できる人間であって欲しいと思っています。
だからこそ、周りのサポートを生かして欲しいんです。そして結果を出してこそ、自由が認められるのではないでしょうか。
Freedom consists of responsibilities. For example, when you finish mandatory education, go to high school, become an adult, you must have learned that freedom doesn’t come for free. We do not get freedom without doing anything. Once we can take our own responsibilities, we can get freedom as well.
I expect therapists at Utage to work freely. Usually I do not restrict their work because I want them to do what they feel right to do. If it doesn’t go well, you can’t think how to improve it.
However, that freedom also consists of responsibilities. We don’t have anything therapists are required to do but it doesn’t mean they don’t need to do anything.
I expect them to get clients. We are a small store and so we need to do our marketing individually properly to get known. In order to do so, we have to use SNS effectively, not to satisfy ourselves.
They might get advice from either me or other therapists but Utage. I prohibit them from contacting each other privately but we are not working alone. I want them to pay respect to each other and one for all, all for one.
That’s why, I expect them to make others’ advice useful as well. Then get some results. This is what I want them to do and after all, we can talk about freedom.
