おみくじを引いた時、「大吉」が出ると嬉しいですよね。でも神主さんの話によれば、「大吉はその時点が最高なのに対し、吉や中吉はまだ伸びしろがあるから、むしろその方が良い場合もある」ということです。
つまり、伸びしろって大事なんです。
生きていると、「自分ってだめだな」「こんなこともできないのか」と思ってしまうことがあると思うんです。でも、それって悪いことばかりではないんです。
だってそれって、伸びしろがあるってことでしょ。現時点で完ぺきにこなせてしまったら、伸びしろがなくなってしまいますよ、それではおもしろくないでしょう。
これを自覚したらいいんです。自分はまだできる、大丈夫、そうやって前向きに捉えたらいい。すごいなって思う人がいたら、妬むのではなく、その人を目指したらいい。妬んだり憎んだりする必要はないですし、競争心もいらない。
むしろそういう力不足を教えてくれる人のことは、もっと大事にしたいなと思うんです。そういう人は、あなたにとっての宝になります。
When you try the fortune slip at shrines, I’m sure you’d be thrilled if you get excellent fortune （daikichi）. However, the priest said daikichi may not be the best because that means you are the best right now and you cannot be better than that. Instead, middle fortune （chukichi） or less fortune （shokichi） mean you can still improve yourselves so they might be actually better.
Do you get it? How much you can improve from now is very important.
I totally understand if you are disappointed in yourself feeling you are not doing great. But that is not bad at all.
You can still grow and get better. You don’t need to be the best right now because you cannot be better that than. That is not interesting, is it?
You need to understand that you can still do it. Be positive feeling you are still on your way to success. If you have somebody you acn look up, learn from him/her! You don’t need to feel jealous or hate him/her.
Moreover, if you find somebody you feel you want to learn from, make sure to keep that person close. He/she is your tresure.
