何かをする時、スピード感ってとても大切なんです。確かに、時間をかけて考えるべき時もありますし、じっと待つべき時もある。でも、思い立ったら即行動！と動き出した時の方が良い場合もあります。
実際にやってみないとわからないこともありますからね。それに、やりながら「やっぱりこうしよう」と気付けることもあります。もちろん、いざやってみたら「やっぱりうまくいかない」「止めた方が良い」と思うこともあるでしょう。そうしたらね、止めたらいいんです。
いろいろ試してみて「これは止めよう」と思ったら、潔く中断する決断をする。その判断力も大切ですよね。ずるずると引きずっても時間がもったいないですし、むしろそれを辞めて、他のことをやった方がよほど効率的。
「やろう！」と思っても、実際に動き出すまでに時間を置いてしまったら、やる気がなくなってしまうリスクがあります。「いや、やっぱりこうした方が」などと色々考えこんでしまい、行動に移せなくなってしまうかもしれない。それってもったいないですよね。
宴では、毎日様々なアイディアが飛び交います。「よし、この方向でやろう」と決めたら、数時間以内に行動に移し、形にします。そして、それができるメンバーが揃っている。
この攻めの姿勢を崩さず、これからも前進していきたいと思っています。
Be speedy is important. To be sure, sometimes it’s better to take time to think it through or just wait for something else. Still, sometimes it’s better to take action right away.
If you start doing it, you might find something new. You might realize something which needs to be adjusted. Of course, there’re possibilities you think "...Maybe not. Let’s stop doing it." If you think that’s the best, you should stop doing it.
After trying the possibilities and if you still think that’s no the right thing to do, don’t hesitate to stop it. That power of judgement is also needed to be responsible. You don’t need to keep doing something useless and waste your time. You should rather do something else to use your time effectively.
If you take too much time to take action, maybe you start hesitating how to do it. You might think of different ideas and you cannot make up your mind. That’s shame!
