Marie: So, 2 months have passed in 2024. How’s it going?
Kazuma: The new resolutions are getting cleared. From today, we have BDSM course and it’s going to be 3rd year for Utage in April. We feel we want us to be private salon more and more in these days.
Marie: Isn’t it something you want to make out of Sakura right?
Kazuma: Yes. I haven’t changed my mind. As I said, I don’t need Utage to be big. We want to take an advantage out of being small and want us to be one and only.
Marie: Details?
Kazuma: We want casts to build the good relationship with clients and do our best. I want our clients to feel it was worth coming to us and feel good. Moreover, confidentiality is very important.
Marie: Confidentiality is important indeed. Our store doesn’t have SNS accounts but if you do, you really have to be careful otherwise the information could leak from there.
Kazuma: Exactly. Casts should never exchange information about clients. Here, casts are not supposed to contact each other to prevent that problem.
Marie: I’ve seen those posts saying that they know each other’s private LINE accounts.
Kazuma: At Utage, casts contact each other by X so we can also check what’s going on and only our administrators and I can access to those mails. Casts and administrators don’t talk about clients and this is how we protect clients’ information.
Marie: Each takes responsibility to protect confidential information and only administrators and you are capable to access to it. The less people who know about it, the safer it is.
Kazuma: This is not only to protect clients but also to protect casts. The staffs also look through the SNS posts and diaries casts write. We want to make sure we publish the acceptable information.
Marie: There are a lot of viral marketings going on nowadays. I think I did realize those posts I felt like “OMG how on earth the store lets people post something like this!?” I guess Utage is trying not let this happen.
Kazuma: We make it possible as we have small number of casts.
Marie: I do believe it’s important. Anything you want to do to aim private salon?
Kazuma: Marketing and advertisement. I really think those are important. Our casts have great skills but marketing and advertisement are as important as it is. This is also related to how to use SNS.
Marie: Of course. It might be more difficult for small business as big companies already have their publicities you know.
Kazuma: We have more and more stores and casts in these days so we need to be active as much as possible. We need to make ourselves known to clients and also, we need to use SNS in a practical way.
Marie: Like you said earlier, if anybody posts something not expected, it could damage the publicity of the store. The small stores might get damaged even worse, right?
Kazuma: True. SNS has been changing you know. Twitter became X and their characteristics are also changing. How we use it needs to be changed.
Marie: I’m not great at using SNS but right? Sometimes I take a look at Utage posts but I do respect those who can keep posting everyday.
Kazuma: SNS is very difficult. It’s not like you’ll be okay as long as you post something everyday. We have SNS monster at Utage and she is trying to find the practical way. We understand we have to be practical.
Marie: Anything you expect from your casts?
Kazuma: I want them to pursue the change and new ideas. It’s very important to keep changing and think of strategies not to bore clients. We made BDSM course and Joshi-Kai Course but we still need to keep thinking something new which you don’t see anywhere else.
Marie: It goes without saying that it’s important in every industry.
Kazuma: Right? Each cast needs to think of something. Even though don’t feel its needs, once clients feel bored, that’s it! Now there are more and more stores so you can’t underestimate what they are doing either.
Marie: Once clients get bored, that’s it. That’s so true.
Kazuma: I want out members to suggest something all the time. We cannot keep doing the same thing over and over. This is true for events each cast is doing and for marketing, too. Also, it’s necessary to change something once they think it doesn’t go anywhere.
Marie: Totally. Not everything goes well anyway so you have to accept the reality.
Kazuma: Well, you better expect something fun out of us all the time!
